ACTnowHPC Joins UberCloud Marketplace

actnowToday the ACTnowHPC on demand cloud cluster joined the UberCloud online marketplace, where engineers, scientists and their service providers discover, try, and buy computing power and software in the cloud as a service. ACTnowHPC enables users to harness the power of high performance computing resources on a pay-as-you-go basis without having to invest in the hardware and infrastructure.

We are pleased to join the UberCloud online marketplace, where our cloud service will give users the opportunity to use our computing power to complete their demanding projects,” said Kyle Sheumaker, President of ACTnowHPC parent company, Advanced Clustering Technologies. “UberCloud and ACTnowHPC share a common goal – to make HPC accessible to those who do not have the resources or infrastructure to meet their computational needs.”

Advanced Clustering Technologies, a leading manufacturer of high performance computing clusters for research, education and government customers, launched ACTnowHPC last year to meet the growing demand for pay-as-you-go HPC cloud services.

“We welcome ACTnowHPC to the UberCloud marketplace, the online platform where hardware and software providers exhibit their cloud-related HPC products as a service,” said Wolfgang Gentzsch, Cofounder and President of UberCloud. “Now Advanced Clustering Technologies’ customers can buy and access HPC for their peak demand projects in an extremely user-friendly way.”

With 15 years of experience in building innovative HPC solutions, Advanced Clustering’s HPC engineers designed ACTnowHPC to be a flexible configuration with a ready-to-work simulation environment that features:

  • Instant availability
  • On demand scalability
  • Latest technology

As with most HPC cloud services, ACTnowHPC’s standard compute pricing is based on usage per core hour. There are four login node packages, including a free level that includes 1 core and 1 GB of RAM. A free trial that includes 500 free core hours is now being offered.

Advanced Clustering Technologies has developed ACTnowHPC to provide high performance computing services in the cloud designed for development, research and production work that requires varying amounts of compute resources.
