They include 6 new workshops” said Ewa Deelman, SC16 Workshops Chair from University of Southern California. “The themes of the new workshops include such important topics as post-Moore era supercomputing, medical applications of HPC, high-performance graph data processing, optimization of communication networks in HPC, applications of PGAS model, and HPC systems professionals” said Maciej Malawski, SC16 Workshops Vice Chair from AGH University of Science and Technology.

These new topics complement the well established SC themes such as architectures, programming models, performance modeling, algorithms, tools, runtime systems, networking and I/O, energy efficiency, and applications.

The workshops will be held on Sunday, Monday and Friday during SC16.
