The HPC User Forum returns to Stuttgart, Germany Feb 28 – March 1. Their full program agenda is now available for download.

“The IDC HPC User Forum, taking place at the HLRS premises in Stuttgart-Vaihingen on February 28 and March 1, will bring together the HPC community to hear experts from all of Europe and the USA. During the two-day event, one of the subjects will be the role of small and medium-sized enterprises (SME) in HPC.”

Mark Parsons, Executive Director of the supercomputing centre at the University of Edinburgh (EPCC), will talk about stimulating the use of HPC by UK and European companies, and partnering with SME. He currently leads the Fortissimo and Fortissimo 2 projects together with HLRS with a value of €34 million, over 160 partners and various manufacturing SME. To further exolore the topic, Andreas Wierse, Managing Director of SICOS BW, will share his expertise in terms of SME. He has many years of experience in advising large companies and SME as well as extensive know-how in the area of simulation, high-performance systems and Big & Smart Data.
