Univa UD has announced general availability of its latest revision of UniCluster Express, version 3.2. UniCluster Express aims at integrating community-enabled, open source packages to create a unified cluster stack. It provides tools that cover the configuration, job scheduling, management, security, remote access and deployment of clustered high performance computing environments.
Last November, Univa UD released a beta version of UniCluster in order to allow members of the various open source communities the ability test the suite and subsequently have a positive impact on the development. A second, December release was cut with enhancements suggested by the early beta testers.
Clearly, over 2,600 downloads and a rapidly growing open-source community is demonstrative of the demand for a fully integrated and free cluster software solution that reduces the complexity for entry-level customers,” said Steve Tuecke, co-founder and chief technology officer at Univa UD.
UniCluster Express can be downloaded for free at grid.org. For more info on the latest features, read the full post here.
