The Department of Energy has announced the details of last year’s annual program evaluation of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory management contractor team of the University of Tennessee and Battelle Memorial Institute. The team was graded in eight categories for its work at the lab over fiscal year 2008 [ending in September]. They received a total of seven ‘A-‘ marks and one ‘B+’. For such great work, the DOE wrote an award fee check for $10.058 million [out of a possible $10.7million].
In summary, UT-Battelle achieved a high level of performance with numerous accomplishments,” DOE Manager Gerald Boyd said in a Feb. 3 letter to ORNL Director Thom Mason.
