Call for the Ubiquitous Reconfigurable Computing Workshop

Found at HPCwire, news that the Ubiquitous Reconfigurable Computing Workshop at HiPC 2009 is accepting submissions

July 21 — The Second International Workshop on Ubiquitous Reconfigurable Computing Platforms for Adaptive, Secure and Distributed Computing Systems will be held in conjunction with 16th IEEE International Conference on High Performance Computing (HiPC 2009) in Kochi (Cochin), India, Dec. 16-19, 2009. The workshop will be held on day one of the conference (Dec. 16, 2009).

The focus of this workshop is to draw attention to prospective authors and participants in the development of innovative architecture and design solutions to support ubiquitous reconfigurable system platforms. The workshop will present a unique forum to both end users (application developers) and technology solution developers to exchange ideas and discuss potentials and opportunities for reconfigurable computing for industrial applications. The workshop encourages papers that present the problem from a user application perspective that has a potential reconfigurable/FPGA computing solution and/or papers addressing technology application to critical areas but not limited to information and network security, sensor fabric computing and high performance reconfigurable acceleration engines for hybrid computing.

Abstracts are due by Sep 15, 2009. More in the release linked above.
