Clustervision has signed up to be the latest alliance member in selling the Cray CX1 deskside supercomputer. The Clustervision team will provide customers with configuration assistance, first line support and training over the life of a CX1 system in the field.
Cray is excited to be working with ClusterVision in Europe as we share a common vision of enabling a broader community to take advantage of the power of high performance computing,” said Ian Miller, senior vice president of the productivity solutions group and marketing at Cray. “The Cray CX1 system with ClusterVisionOS provides Linux users with an easy to install, use and administer environment that allows customers to focus on the work they need to do and not on the computer system they use to do it.”
The biggest differentiator with the Clustervision’s inclusion of the CX1 is they will actually deliver the system with their home-grown ClusterVisionOS cluster management environment. They also plan to offer the systems with Microsoft Windows HPC Server 2008. For more info, read the full release here.
