Appro has announced that they will have on hand a full suite of CPU and GPU centric computing platforms at the SC09 show next week. The platforms will include the latest silicon offerings from AMD, Intel and NVIDIA as well as a sneak preview of the all new G34 AMD Opteron platform. The displays will include:
Appro Xtreme-X1 Supercomputer running Appro Cluster Engine (ACE) Management Software
The Appro Xtreme-X1 combines high performance computing with high availability and reliability features in a balanced system architecture supported by ACE. ACE is designed to manage large numbers of independent physical computers connected together to function as a single computing system. This robust remote management software suite includes network, server, cluster and storage management.
Appro HyperPower(TM) GPU Performance Clusters
The Appro HyperPower Cluster is a hybrid solution based on NVIDIA Tesla GPUs and Intel Xeon processors including professional services and cluster management options. It supports 304 CPU/18,240 GPU cores with 78TF single precision/6.56TF double precision GPU performance in a 42U standard rack configuration.
Appro HyperGreen(TM) Clusters based on GreenBlade(TM) System
Appro HyperGreen is a fully integrated cluster solution. It provides performance scalability, density and energy efficiency at a competitive price. It features up to 80 GreenBlade nodes, with 640 processing cores per 42U rack cabinet combined with professional services and cluster management options.
Sneak Preview on Next Generation Servers
Appro will showcase a technology sample of the Appro 1143H server based on the upcoming AMD Opteron 6100 series processors (code-name Magny-Cour) G34 socket systems. Appro will also demonstrate a new 1U server based on Intel Xeon processor 5500 series with two independent dual socket/18 DIMM nodes in a 1U chassis offering high memory capacity and flexible I/O capability for a broad range of HPC applications. In addition, Appro will also unveil its next generation GPU blade system based on NVIDIA Tesla computing technologies.
