The Great Lakes Consoritum web site is carrying an announcement on behalf of the Virtual School of Computational Science and Engineering for its 2010 summer schools
The VSCSE helps prepare the next generation of computational researchers so they can take full advantage of extreme-scale computing resources, such as the sustained-petaflop Blue Waters system coming online in 2011.
Students participate in the Virtual School summer courses from various sites across the country via high-definition videoconferencing…and technical ability must be demonstrated by mid-March.
If your site is interested check out www.vscse.org/summerschool/2010/participation.html. Potential topics: Scaling to Petascale, Big Data for Science, Many-Core Processors.
