Cray announced today that they were recently recognized by Seattle Business Mag’s annual list of Washington’s 100 Best Companies to Work For. The list is based on a survey of over 10,000 employees in the state of Washington based on criteria that ranked leadership, communications and training.
Cray’s inclusion as a Best Company to Work For is evidence of the company’s commitment to develop its human resources through improved communications, a cohesive culture and strong leadership, values that are core to developing a successful enterprise,” says Leslie Helm, editor of Seattle Business magazine.
Being recognized as one of Washington’s best companies to work for is a tremendous honor and one that we are quite proud of,” said Linda Howitson, Cray’s vice president of human resources. “This designation is an important validation of the type of work environment and company we have established for Cray employees — a workplace that is collaborative, innovative and built on respect. Not only is Cray a Best Company to Work For in Washington State, we truly believe it’s a great place to work in all of our locations worldwide.”
In this day of “bottom-line-agenda” CEOs, executive management often overlooks the simple fact that most [*cough*] happy employees are productive employees. Those that believe in one’s respective corporate mission and culture will generally put their heart and soul into the job. HPC companies are no different. This is an industry staffed by some of the brightest and dedicated individuals in science…. and we’re passionate about what we do. Kudos to Cray.
