The LUG 2011 meeting of Lustre Users kicks off tomorrow in Orlando. To get things started, OpenSFS has just announced a request for proposals for “OpenSFS Phase 1 Lustre development.”
“The purpose of this RFP is to meet the highest priority Lustre requirements gathered from the community by the OpenSFS Technical Working Group with participation from OpenSFS participants and non-participants alike.”
As part of the RFP, an eye-opening table of Required Rates and Capacities provides details on where the open source file system is going:
