Alain Tiquet writes that some 350 attendees at last week’s GPU Technology Summit in Tel Aviv heard about the progress that’s being made within Israel’s thriving parallel-computing community.
“Two dozen speakers from NVIDIA and its partners covered topics such as GPU computing on clusters, computer vision on GPUs and image processing applications using CUDA. One of the purposes of the event – the third in a series of conferences around the world focused on start-ups working with GPUs – was to showcase how up-and-comers in Israel’s thriving startup community are tackling challenging new computing problems with the help of GPGPU. Similar events have taken place in recent weeks in Singapore and Taipei.”
