Is virtualization coming to HPC? In a way, it’s already here. Hundreds of HPC customers are already using a form of virtualization today with ScaleMP’s Foundation software. And while HPC users may pine after VMware’s ability to scale and mirror resources on virtual machines with relative ease, as of this writing the company does not have an HPC product, nor does it support InfiniBand.
