CSURE Program Seeks Participants for Summer 2014

The Joint Institute for Computational Sciences and NICS has announced their Call for Applicants for the 2014 ten-week summer Computational Science for Undergraduate Research Experiences (CSURE) program. CSURE equips participants with a synergistic set of knowledge and skills to begin using leading-edge computational methods. The application deadline for the program is Feb. 15.


Last year’s CSURE was a great success, with 14 undergraduate students (from the U.S. and Hong Kong) completing 10 research projects—scientific domains: atmospheric sciences, chemistry and material sciences, engineering mechanics, numerical libraries on emergent platforms, and systems biology—working with JICS/NICS mentors and HPC resources.
