Fujitsu to Launch HPC Competency Center in Bangalore

fujitsuFujitsu has announced plans to set up an HPC Competency Center in Bangalore to help scientists and engineers perform advanced computational work. The competency centre will be the fifth such center for the company globally. The Bangalore unit will be open to customers and partners starting in November, 2014.

We are witnessing strong demand for HPC in India,” said Fujitsu Technology Solutions General Manager Naoya Tamura. “We will open the Fujitsu HPC Competency Center in Bangalore, the first such by a technology vendor in India and our fifth such center globally.”

Tamura went on to say that the HPC demand is driven from application areas including advanced drug discovery, seismic engineering for oil exploration, and automotive design and industrial manufacturing.
