On the heels of the biggest online shopping day of the year for Americans, below is a big data visualization comparing Cyber Monday with its brick and mortar counterpart, Black Friday. The visualization, created by our friends at Datameer using its Hadoop-based analytics platform, compares the social sentiment and popularity of each day on Twitter, finding:- Black Friday had a significantly larger share of positive social sentiment, with 50% of respondents viewing the shopping day positively, compared with 35% for Cyber Monday
- Black Friday was most popular on Twitter, capturing 73% of Tweets
