Job of the Week: Director of HPCC at Michigan State

Celebrating 10 years web imageMichigan State University’s Institute for Cyber-Enabled Research is seeking a Director of HPCC in our Job of the Week.

The Director will serve as the High Performance Computing Center (HPCC) Director and support advanced computation and research activities across campus by maintaining high performance computing resources, including hardware (600 compute nodes and 7,000 compute cores), software (2,000 scientific research titles) and supportive infrastructure (Web sites, scheduling systems, databases, xcat, puppet, etc.). The successful candidate will supervise the HPCC technical staff; develop and document HPCC policies and procedures; oversee budgeting and hardware purchasing; develop campus, regional and national collaborations in support of advanced computing activities; will contribute relevant expertise and effort to iCER-­‐sponsored training programs and direct support of MSU researchers.
