I am passionate about the value that liquid cooling applications have to offer and I’m excited to help facilitate The Green Grid initiatives for this distinguished group,” said Geoff Lyon. “Liquid cooling technology is gaining tremendous momentum and being considered by an increasing number of installations. We need to leverage our collective knowledge to ensure that datacenter decision makers have a responsible non-partisan resource to lean on for technical guidance.”

The Green Grid Association established the Liquid Cooling Work Group within its Technical Committee to provide a forum to push the best practice for liquid cooling implementations. The Liquid Cooling Work Group will focus on all aspects of the data center that are impacted by liquid cooling, including facility planning, water quality best practices, management interface between data centers and liquid cooling solutions, and other areas that will help de-mystify liquid cooling. The Green Grid is also expected to help with the process of developing standards for liquid cooling.
