The PASC16 Conference in Switzerland has issued its Call for Papers. The event takes place June 8-10 in Laussane.
Also known as the Platform for Advanced Scientific Computing, PASC is a leading event for researchers in computational science and high performance computing.
The PASC Conference will be co sponsored by the Association for Computing Machinery’s (ACM) Special Interest Group on High Performance Computing (SIGHPC). The support from the ACM SIGHPC serves as an acknowledgement of the importance of the conference and sets well defined standards of quality. The ACM provides the computing field’s premier Digital Library and serves its members and the computing profession with leading edge publications, conferences, and career resources.
PASC16 invites participation in the following scientific areas:
- Climate and Weather
- Computer Science and Mathematics
- Emerging Domains
- Engineering
- Life Sciences
- Materials
- Physics
- Solid Earth
Papers will be presented in 30-minute talks during the PASC16 Conference and published in the ACM Digital Library associated with the PASC conference series.

- Implementation strategies for computational science applications
- Programming languages and models for science domains
- Tools for application development
- Domain-specific libraries or frameworks
- Use of heterogeneous or advanced computing for scientific applications
