simscaleToday SimScale in Munich announced an online F1 workshop series focused on aerodynamics. The live online sessions will take place on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. Central European Time, on March 17, 24 and 31.

Participants will get an overview of all the functionalities offered by the SimScale platform, while learning directly from top simulation experts through an interactive workshop and practical application of the simulation technology. This workshop will consist of a series of 3 one-hour sessions. The overall aim is to conceptualize an F1 car design, which will be virtually tested with the help of simulation technology. The live online sessions will take place on Thursdays at 4:00 p.m. Central European Time, with the first session starting on March 17th. There is no prior knowledge or software required to join this free workshop series. All participants will get free access to SimScale with all the required simulation features.

Starting on March 17th 2016 with the first session, its aim is to teach the participants how to design, simulate, and test a Formula One race car. They will get an overview of all the functionalities offered by the SimScale simulation platform, while learning directly from top simulation experts through interactive webinars and practical application of the simulation technology.

Due to SimScale’s collaboration with FRIENDSHIP SYSTEMS, the participants will be able to use their product CAESES to modify the existing design with a few clicks and improve the aerodynamic characteristics of the car.
There is no prior knowledge or software required to join this workshop series. All participants will get free access to SimScale as well and to CAESES. Completely free, the F1 Aerodynamics Workshop focuses on teaching the participants the fundamentals of the aerodynamics of a race car design.

SimScale is an engineering simulation platform that is revolutionizing the way engineers, designers, scientists, and students design products. The SimScale platform is accessible completely via a standard web browser, harnessing the power of the cloud and cutting-edge simulation technology to build not just another simulation software but an ecosystem in which simulation functionality, content, and people are brought together in one place.
