Ohio State University is seeking a Research Computing Facilitator in our Job of the Week.
The Ohio Supercomputer Center (OSC) provides high-performance computing (HPC) services for Ohio’s university researchers and industrial clients. The HPC Client Services Group delivers the client experience at OSC through client engagement and administration.
Responsibilities include:
- Support the overall mission of the Group and in particular engages researchers to identify appropriate computationally based solutions to problems impeding their research.
- Work with researchers to understand aspects of their research that rely on, or could be aided by, current computational methodologies.
- Work to maximize the progress of research workflows by connecting the clients to services utilizing high-throughput and high-performance computing resources.
- Partnering with other facilitators, will develop a knowledge and interpersonal network, and leverage that network to facilitate progress for research projects, including the identification of potential collaborations.
