Radio Free HPC Previews the MSST Mass Storage Conference

Matthew O’Keefe is the Program Chair of the MSST Conference

In this podcast, the Radio Free HPC team discusses the upcoming MSST Mass Storage Conference with Program Chair Matthew O’Keefe from Oracle.

“Since the conference was founded by the leading national laboratories, MSST has been a venue for massive-scale storage system designers and implementers, storage architects, researchers, and vendors to share best practices and discuss building and securing the world’s largest storage systems for high-performance computing, web-scale systems, and enterprises.”

As Matt tells us, MSST is probably the most affordable conference in Silicon Valley. You can attend tutorials for $60 and Research & Invited Sessions for just $120.

MSST (2017), as is our custom, will dedicate five days to computer-storage technology, including a day of tutorials, two days of invited papers, two days of peer-reviewed research papers, and a vendor exposition. The conference will be held, once again, on the beautiful campus of Santa Clara University, in the heart of Silicon Valley.”

MSST takes place May 15-19 in Santa Clara, California. The full agenda for MSST will be posted soon.

  1. Hi Rich,

Would you know of a company offering long-term, permanent data storage option for preserving information such as: photos and videos for hundreds of years, similar to what Millenniata Inc. offers? Also, can you provide me any contacts that might be involved with long term endurance memory technology such as Matthew O’Keefe or other specialists for a new project we are working on?
    Thanks,
    Jim Jones
