We interrupt our stream of serious HPC news for this post-ISC update from Europe.

After ISC wrapped up last week, I had the good fortune to join the First Annual Lustre Motorcycle Tour of the Alps. This amazing three day trip took us through Italy, Switzerland, and Austria.

Things got off to a shaky start when we tried to fly to our starting point near Milan. Thunderstorms in Germany resulted in dozens of cancelled flights, including ours. We decided to drive instead, and the six-hour road trip gave us the opportunity to record this podcast interview with Brent Gorda on the topic of Lustre.

There is a first time for everything; With my SkyRoam hotspot, I was able to edit and post this podcast before we even got to Switzerland.

Anyway, we got to our hotel at 2:00am Friday and were ready to go and rent the bikes in Lecco sometime around noon. Everything went smoothly from there, and the six of us were on a way to a great adventure.

Many thanks go out to Gabriele Paciucci from Intel for organizing this trip!
