Today Bright Computing showcased its ongoing collaboration with SUSE at SC17.
Founded in 1992, SUSE was the world’s first provider of an Enterprise Linux distribution. Today, a pioneer in open source software, SUSE provides reliable, software-defined infrastructure and application delivery solutions that give enterprises greater control and flexibility.
The Bright Computing and SUSE partnership was first announced in 2009, enabling customers to deploy, manage, and monitor SUSE Linux Enterprise Server clusters using the Bright interface. Since then, the companies have collaborated many times to provide cutting edge infrastructure management solutions to significant strategic companies around the world, including Boeing in North America and CSIRO in Australia.
At SC17, Bright and SUSE will coordinate a number of co-marketing activities:
- On Tuesday November 14 at 11.30am and on Wednesday November 15 at 11am, Bright’s CTO Martijn de Vries will take to the stage at SUSE’s booth theater, #1681, to present on “Bright for Deep Learning: Fast, Flexible and Production Ready.” The presentation will look at how Bright technology allows organizations to quickly and easily set up an IT infrastructure to host deep learning workload, and how Bright’s deep learning solution integrates with existing HPC and GPU technology, and bundles most popular frameworks and libraries, enabling organizations to streamline the process of gaining actionable insight from data.
- On Wednesday November 15 at 3.30pm, SUSE’s Jay Kruemcke will be speaking in the Bright booth theater, #937, on “SUSE Linux for High Performance Computing: Success Built on Partnership.” This presentation will look at the success of SUSE Linux in HPC, how SUSE is responding to the changes in the HPC community, and how partners such as Bright Computing are able to build on the open source infrastructure provided by SUSE to deliver leading-edge HPC solutions.
