Today, Bright Computing announced that Bechtle France has won a contract to be the sole distributor of Bright Computing’s products and solutions to Groupe Logiciel’s academic and research institutions across France.

I’m excited that, together with our valued partner, Bechtle France, Bright Computing has signed an agreement to deliver our industry-leading HPC, Cloud and Data Science technologies to Groupe Logiciel,” said Lee Carter, VP Alliances at Bright Computing. “Our goal at Bright Computing is to offer the best cluster management solutions on the planet. With a strong and loyal customer base that stretches across all geographies and industry sectors, our software empowers organizations to push the boundaries of HPC, Cloud, Deep Learning and Artificial Intelligence.”

Groupe Logiciel operates within France’s Ministry of Higher Education, Research and Innovation, which brings together representatives from 13 University IT Resource Centers, 8 Research Organizations, and experts. Groupe Logiciel negotiates contracts with software publishers and sets up national markets.

The contract, signed in December 2018, states that Bechtle, a French Systems Integrator that specializes in digitization, cloud, mobility, security and IT as a service, and a valued partner of Bright Computing, is the exclusive distributor of Bright technology to the members of Groupe Logiciel. This contract defines specific tariff conditions granted to higher education public research for the purchase of Bright Cluster Manager, Bright OpenStack, and Bright Cluster Manager for Data Science.

Our partnership with Bechtle couples the France-based Systems Integrator’s impressive technical expertise and industry understanding,” said Carter. “With Bright’s ground-breaking software, Groupe Logiciel offers members state-of-the-art solutions that will meet their current and future requirements.”
