Dr Alan Real from Durham University

In this video from the UK HPC Conference, Alan Real from Durham University presents: Convergence for Scientific Method – HPC, AI, Simulation and Experiment.

This talk will discuss how advances in instrumentation have caused many new areas to embrace HPC and AI in order to successfully conduct and understand their experiments.

Alan Real is Director of Advanced Research Computing at Durham University. Following a PhD in bimolecular simulation, Alan has established a song track record in the provision of HPC facilities for Universities, Regional and National consortia across several research domains.
