Job of the Week: HPC Systems Administrator at Washington State University

Washington State University is seeking an HPC Systems Administrator in our Job of the Week.

The Center for Institutional Research Computing at Washington State University seeks exceptional applicants for the position of High-Performance Computing Systems Administrator. This position will play a vital role in the administration of HPC clusters used by the research community at Washington State University.

WSU faculty are leaders in scientific research computing in diverse areas including computational physics and chemistry, genomics, materials science, atmospheric and environment sciences, and agriculture and natural resources. Due to the enormous success of the research computing program, our center is expanding its staff. This position is an exciting opportunity to participate in the frontiers of research computing through the selection, configuration, and management of HPC infrastructure including computing, networking, and storage.

Ideal candidates should have in-depth experience with the provisioning and administration of HPC clusters. Applicants who have experience with CentOS or RHEL, high speed networking using Mellanox Infiniband, resource schedulers such as Slurm, automation tools such as SaltStack, and parallel file systems including BeeGFS and Spectrum Scale, are highly encouraged to apply.
