Due to reporting error, insideHPC yesterday ran an article mistakenly reporting that supercomputers at the National Energy National Scientific Computing Center at Lawrence Berkeley National Lab had recently been the target of hacker activity, resulting in a guilty plea by the accused hacker. This incident happened in 2013 and Berkeley Lab systems were not compromised. insideHPC regrets the error.
