From the perspective of Nvidia-Mellanox’s Senior Vice President Marketing, Gilad Shainer, virtual SC20 “for us was a great week.” In this video, Shainer discusses the company’s conference highlights, including the introduction of the new generation of InfiniBand high performance network technology, the NDR 400G, which he said delivers 400GB/second performance while adding more in-network computing engines and migrating algorithms into the network – all in the name of accelerating applications.
Shainer also discussed InfiniBand’s presence on the latest Top500 list…, noting (it’s) used in eight of the top 10 and four of the top five.
Shainer also discussed InfiniBand’s presence on the latest Top500 list of the world’s most powerful supercomputers, noting that the technology is used in eight of the top 10 and four of the top five, including Selene, Nvidia’s DGX system based on its A100 GPUs and AMD EPYC CPUs delivering 6.3PFLOPS throughput.
Shainer also looks ahead to some key events and conferences in which he and Mellanox will participate in December.
