Hyperion Research Invites Applications to Expand HPC Advisory Panel

ST. PAUL, Minnesota, April 27, 2021 – If you aren’t already one of the more than 1,200 HPC experts worldwide who lend their special expertise by completing brief, anonymous surveys as part of Hyperion Research’s HPC Advisory Panel, we invite you apply to join this diverse group of HPC users and vendors.

Hyperion Research is expanding this important group in light of increased demand for our surveys and HPC’s movement into newer areas such as AI, cloud computing, quantum computing and enterprise data centers.

In return for their occasional help, HPC Advisory Panel members receive key findings of surveys they’ve participated in and our other recent surveys. In addition, starting now Hyperion Research will pay $50 per participant per survey, as an honorarium or as a contribution to the participant’s designated charity.

  • Hyperion Research conducts these surveys for clients in industry, government and academia.
  • Most participants are asked to participate in only a few surveys per year.
  • Most surveys are brief: 10-12 minutes to complete.
  • Panel members will be invited to participate only in surveys that seem to fit the participants’ backgrounds, based on a few demographic questions collected in the application form.
  • Panel members can of course decline to participate in any survey, though panel members are expected to be active in general.
  • Survey responses will be kept anonymous, meaning that none of the responses will be associated with the participant’s name or related organization.

“The HPC Advisory Panel has grown rapidly in recent years and has been enormously important for the research we do for specific clients and on behalf of the worldwide HPC community,” said Earl Joseph, CEO of Hyperion Research. “There’s been remarkably little turnover in this group, who often tell us they like to contribute to surveys in their areas of expertise and appreciate getting the key findings. Now we’re expanding the panel to support growing demand for our surveys and to increase coverage of newer HPC domains.”
