Seoul, May 16, 2023 – SK hynix Inc. announced today that its U.S.-based subsidiary Solidigm’s board of directors has appointed David M. Dixon, senior vice president and general manager of Solidigm’s data center storage group, and Kevin (Jongwon) Noh, chief business officer of Solidigm and president at SK hynix, as new co-chief executive officers.

The board, which has been in search of a new CEO since October, has decided that Dixon and Noh are the most qualified given their proven leadership in the data-center SSD business and business optimization, respectively.

Dixon, an enterprise SSD expert with a 28-year stint at Intel, has been at the forefront of Solidigm’s efforts to set up SSD development strategies and plan products as the head of the company’s data center group.

Noh, in his past roles at SK Telecom and SK hynix, has proven his capabilities in setting up business strategies and leading mergers and acquisitions. In his most recent role as the chief business officer from late last year, Noh has led Solidigm’s push to explore new business opportunities and build deeper relationship with business partners.

“With the appointments of the co-CEOs already familiar with the business and technology of Solidigm, a leader in the SSD market, our efforts to combine capabilities of SK hynix and Solidigm for greater synergies will gain speed,” the companies said.
