RMACC’s 15th Annual HPC Symposium Set for May 20-22 in Boulder

Dec. 13, 2024 — The Rocky Mountain Advanced Computing Consortium (RMACC) – a collaboration of 37 academic and research institutions in the nine-state intermountain region – has set Wednesday-Friday, May 20-22, 2025 for its 15th Annual High Performance Computing Symposium to be held at the Wolf Law School on the University of Colorado Boulder campus.

“This annual symposium is a key piece of the RMACC’s mission to facilitate widespread effective use of High Performance Computing in the Intermountain Region,” noted Becky Yeager, the RMACC’s Executive Director.  She said this year’s event will have a special focus on AI and its growing impact on the high performance computing field.

The symposium brings together researchers, educators, industry leaders and students in a setting that maximizes opportunities for sharing the latest trends in the HPC field and features keynote talks, panel discussions and presentations by both member and sponsoring organizations.

While many of the symposium programs have been set, Yeager said suggestions for topics that represent the broad spectrum and collaboration between research, education & industry – for which this event is known – are still welcome.    Topic or speaker ideas can be sent to her at rmacc@colorado.edu.

The symposium draws widespread industry support, led by major sponsorships from AMD, AWS, Dell. HPE, Intel, Kalray and Oracle.  For more information about sponsorships visit: https://hpcsymposium.rmacc.org/sponsorships.

Primarily a volunteer organization, the RMACC is a collaboration among academic and research institutions located in Arizona, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, New Mexico, Utah, Washington and Wyoming.
