At ISC 2025 last week, we spoke with Intersect360 Research Senior Analyst Steve Conway on the firm’s last HPC-AI industry update, released two weeks ago, along with trends and developments highlighting the conference in Hamburg.
We also focused on HPC’s place within the HPC-AI firmament — which is to say, traditional HPC’s relatively small, and getting smaller in relative terms, position vis a vis AI. Conway’s explanation of what’s happening will mostly reassure HPC advocates, and he also notes that the AI explosion would never happened in the first place without HPC-class technologies.
