Energy Secretary Wright to Visit Argonne Tomorrow for Aurora Exascale Dedication

WASHINGTON— The U.S. Department of Energy announced that Secretary of Energy Chris Wright will travel to Lemont, Illinois, on tomorrow to visit Argonne National Laboratory and participate in the dedication of the Aurora exascale supercomputer. Secretary Wright will deliver remarks, join Argonne leadership and partners for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Aurora supercomputer represents one of the most powerful tools in the nation’s scientific arsenal. Its state-of-the-art artificial intelligence capabilities will accelerate discovery across disciplines—enabling breakthroughs in nuclear energy, drug development, cancer research, materials design, and other vital industries with unprecedented speed and scale.
