ComPat Training Workshop on Mutiscale Modelling & Simulation on HPC

Multiscale phenomena are ubiquitous and are the key to understanding the complexity of our world. In computational research, tackling problems in a multiscale way reveals a deeper understanding of a system under investigation and higher-fidelity output. With the advent of exascale supercomputing power, multiscale simulations hold unprecedented power for researchers. The key to unlocking this power is being able to wield it.

In this 3-hour session, with our guidance, you will use one of our applications and couple it in a multiscale manner on your laptop locally. Following that, you will run that multiscale application on a supercomputer using ComPat tools and services. We will describe the principles, concepts, tools, and codes along the way. By the end of the session, you will be able to run a multiscale application on HPC. Then, over the lunch we provide, you can chat with our experts about how you can apply what you’ve learned to make your own application a multiscale and HPC application. Learn more.
