Description
Do you have experience managing large Linux systems?
Would you like to work as a system manager for the most powerful supercomputer in Sweden at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology?
The PDC Center for High Performance Computing (which is based at the KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden) is expanding its group of system administrators and has a position open for a senior high-performance computing (HPC) system manager.
The new system manager will work closely with the leader and other members of the system administrator team at PDC, which consists of about eight people who together run PDC's computational and storage infrastructure. This position involves significant responsibility for the operation of the systems at PDC. The work includes administration of the HPC and storage infrastructures and services, development of these services based on user needs and technological advances, and close interactions with application experts at PDC, users and suppliers of computing systems and software.
Applicants need to be comfortable using English as PDC is an international environment. Being able to speak Swedish is not a requirement, so applicants from outside Sweden are welcome! (It is easy to live in Stockholm if you do not speak Swedish, as most people here speak English. Also, Swedish language tuition is provided free for staff members who would like to learn Swedish.)
Note that applications close on the 9th of June, 2023.
