Huawei and ESI to Collaborate on HPC for Manufacturing

ESI Group has signed agreement with Huawei to collaborate on on High Performance Computing and cloud computing for industrial manufacturing solutions for customers in China and worldwide. “The ongoing digital transformation of industrial manufacturing demands enterprise-level IT solutions that are more intelligent, efficient, and convenient, especially in the HPC domain,” said Zheng Yelai, President, Huawei IT Product Line.

Huawei HPC Coming to Bibliotheca Alexandrina Egypt

Today Egypt’s Bibliotheca Alexandrina library announced plans to build an HPC platform using Huawei technologies. Based on high-density FusionServer servers, the 118 Teraflop Huawei cluster employs high-speed InfiniBand and 288 TB in storage capacity for concurrent file systems.

Poznan Supercomputing Center Expands CoolIT Systems Liquid Cooling to 1160 Nodes

Today CoolIT Systems announced that the Poznan Supercomputing Center has ordered its second deployment of Rack DCLC data center liquid cooling systems. Building on the success of their existing liquid cooled deployment with CoolIT built in partnership with Huawei and Itprojekt, PSNC has purchased an additional 17 racks of liquid cooled Huawei servers for a project total of 20 racks. A new feature of this expanded deployment will see the server energy captured in the liquid being re-used for heating buildings on campus, making this installation one of the most efficient HPC clusters in EMEA.

Huawei to Resell Bright Computing Manager

This week Bright Computing announced a global reseller agreement with Huawei. The agreement adds Bright Cluster Manager as a powerful new addition to Huawei’s HPC platforms.
