Today the 2018 Internet2 Global Summit announced that Daniel Reed from the University of Iowa will keynote the conference with a talk on the convergence of academic and research collaboration. Registration is now open for the event, which takes place May 6-9 in San Diego. “Dr. Reed’s presentation will explore the intersections of balancing the needs of supporting the academic enterprise and the research community from a technology, application, and cyberinfrastructure perspective. He will provide an in-depth viewpoint on both the challenges and opportunities by addressing how cloud and edge computing, along with new technologies, will continue to play a significant role across both domains.”
