By adopting 8 terabyte drive technology, ActiveStor 18 increases scalability to more than 20 petabytes and 200 gigabytes per second. According to Panasas, ActiveStor 18 also offers increased CPU power and twice the storage cache capacity to further accelerate mixed workload performance.

Avere Introduces FXT Virtual Edge Filer for Amazon EC2

With the Avere FXT Edge Filer, uou basically get the same hardware operating EC2 cloud as you get from our physical appliances. Then you are on our software and what our software does is, it has the intelligence to automatically cache the active data up in the cloud. It pulls this data either from the Amazon S3 storage cloud or from your data center, from your NAS or object systems that are in your data center, and the goal there is to hide the latency to the storage.

How to Maintain HPC Storage Performance at Scale

In scale-out NAS, HPC storage performance can be driven by several factors including elimination of file processing bottlenecks, parallel data paths and more. Learn how to maintain storage performance as you scale.

InsideHPC Guide to HPC Storage

HPC and technical computing environments require the collection, storage, and transmission of large-scale datasets. To meet these demands, datacenter architects must consider how increasing storage capacity over time will affect HPC workload, performance, and system availability.
