Project BreathEasy using Digital Twins of Lungs to Improve COVID-19 Patient Outcomes

OnScale and LEXMA have partnered to create patient-specific digital twins that may accurately predict oxygen and blood flow in a patient’s lungs, helping doctors make critical decisions about ventilator and intubation requirements for COVID-19 patients. Each digital twin is patient-specific and built from a combination of medical images (for example from CT scans and X-rays) and thousands of simulations of lung airflow and blood flow using the LEXMA Moebius fluid dynamics solver running on OnScale’s Cloud Simulation platform.

OnScale Offering Free Cloud Core-Hours to Engineers Working from Home

Today OnScale announced that it will provide free cloud core-hours to customers to promote customer safety and mitigate any productivity loss due to office shutdowns. “OnScale will offer free cloud core-hours to our customers who are currently working from home because of the coronavirus outbreak and don’t have access to their hardware and the OnScale engineering simulation platform.”

OnScale joins Revolution in Simulation community

Today OnScale announced their sponsorship of Revolution in Simulation, a collaborative community helping to increase the value of engineering simulation software investments through the democratization of simulation. OnScale is providing their expertise in CAE and funding to support the initiative. OnScale will participate as a moderator in the HPC topic as well as lead a new SME topical section coming soon at Rev-Sim.org on MultiPhysics Simulation.
