Asetek Provides Liquid Cooling QCT at NCHC in Taiwan

Today Asetek announced the deployment of the company’s latest heat rejection technology at the National Center for High-Performance Computing (NCHC) in Hsinchu, Taiwan. “Announced in April, the new liquid cooled NCHC cluster to be implemented by QCT will focus on artificial intelligence. A major goal of the project is to achieve a significant PUE figure, requiring the use of liquid cooling to create a mix of liquid cooled NVIDIA V100 GPUs and Intel Xeon Scalable Processors in a high-density configuration. As one of Asetek’s newest OEM Partners, the NCHC installation by QCT represents both the first major HPC site resulting from the collaboration, and one of the first deployments of the latest InRackCDU.”

ThinkparQ Teams with QCT to Demonstrate BeeGFS

Today ThinkParQ announced that the company is working with Quanta Cloud Technology on a prototype HPC system to demonstrate the power of their combined technologies. Using the BeeGFS parallel file system, the demo cluster will be built around the Intel Rack Scale Design. “Utilizing BeeGFS with its ease of use, maximum scalability and flexibility such as BeeGFS on demand (BeeOND), buddy mirroring or the newly introduced storage pool concept, this demo environment provides a maximum flexibility for various customers cases to prove the value of a combined QCT and ThinkParQ solution,” said Frank Herold, CEO of ThinkParQ.

E4 Engineering Powers CERN with Quanta Cloud Technology

Over the last two years, E4 Computer Engineering and QCT have worked in close collaboration to supply CERN with thousands of server systems, cores and Petabytes of storage. “E4 has successfully supplied us with reliable and performant servers of the QCT brand over the last couple of years,” said Olof Bärring, Deputy Head of the computing facilities group, IT department, CERN. “The systems have proved to be suitable for different purposes ranging from High Throughput Computing (HTC) number crunching of physics data coming from LHC experiments to High Performance Computing (HPC) clusters for the CERN theory group. We are also very pleased with the reliable deliveries, the warranty support provided.”

QCT to Develop First x86 Servers with Nvidia’s NVLink Interconnet
