Aiden Lab Chooses WEKA to Accelerate Genomics Research

Today WekaIO announced that Aiden Lab at the Baylor College of Medicine, a leading genome research facility, has selected the Weka File System (WekaFS) to accelerate its genomics research. “WekaFS has delivered a 3x improvement in performance at Aiden Lab and is enabling it to use its cloud infrastructure more effectively. WekaFS will improve overall productivity and empower researchers to become more efficient at analyzing results.”

Penguin Computing Breaks STAC-M3 Performance Records with WekaIO

Today Penguin Computing and WekaIO announced record performance on the STAC-M3 Benchmark. The STAC-M3 Antuco and Kanaga Benchmark Suites are the industry standard for testing solutions that enable high-speed analytics on time series data, such as tick-by-tick market data. “By combining Penguin Computing Relion servers and FrostByte Storage with the WekaIO File System, the companies have affirmed that this integrated solution is ideal for algorithmic trading and quantitative analysis workloads, common in financial services.”

Supermicro teams with WekaIO for Deep Learning Performance Density

Preliminary Agenda Posted for HP-CAST at ISC 2019

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has posted their Structural Agenda for HP-CAST at ISC 2019. The event takes place June 14-15 in Frankfurt, Germany. “HP-CAST provides guidance to Hewlett Packard Enterprise on the essential development and support issues for HPC systems.”

Mellanox to Accelerate EDA Workloads with WekaIO

Today WekaIO announced that Mellanox has selected the WekaIO Matrix file system to accelerate application performance scaling for their EDA workloads. “Mellanox is a forward-thinking company, we continuously improve our workflows by incorporating new deep learning techniques into our data-intensive EDA workloads, so we needed a modern file system to support our initiatives,” said Udi Weinstein, Chief Information Officer of Mellanox.

WekaIO Beats Big Systems on the IO-500 10 Node Challenge

Today WekaIO announced record performance on the IO-500 10 Node Challenge benchmark. The Virtual Institute for I/O has placed WekaIO Matrix in first place on the IO-500 10 Node Challenge list, beating out massive supercomputer installations. VI4IO republished the 10 Node Challenge list with the new rankings indicating Matrix as number one—31 percent faster than IBM Spectrum Scale and 85 percent faster than DDN Lustre.

Univa and WekaIO team to speed HPC Workloads in the Cloud

Last week at SC18 in Dallas, Univa announced a partnership with WekaIO, a high-performance scale-out file system storage company, to help enterprise customers accelerate the migration of their HPC workloads to the cloud. “Univa is working with WekaIO to integrate one of the industry’s fastest parallel file systems into its Navops Launch and offer customers a comprehensive, high-performance, hybrid cloud solution for HPC and machine learning workloads.”

Agenda Posted for HP-CAST at SC18 in Dallas

Hewlett Packard Enterprise has posted their Agenda for HP-CAST once again this year at SC18. The event takes place Nov. 9-10 in Dallas. ” HP-CAST meetings typically include corporate briefings and presentations by HPE executives, technical staff, and HPE partners (under NDA), and discussions of customer issues related to high-performance computing.”
