E4 Computer Engineering Reports 2024 Revenues of €56M

Scandiano, Italy, June 24, 2025 – E4 Computer Engineering, an Italian company in the field of ultra-high-tech hardware and software solutions for high-performance computing (HPC), artificial intelligence, quantum computing (QC), cloud computing and data analytics, closed its 2024 financial statements with a turnover of 55.8 mln euros, up 102 percent from fiscal year 2023.

The company said the results confirm a growth trend that has been well established since 2021, and which has seen the Italian technology company quadruple its revenues in four fiscal years and double its workforce in the last two years.

The 2024 figures are thus the result of a long-term strategy in which E4 invests in research and development, including through policies to attract the best talent and highly qualified figures, which has generated a steady expansion of the company’s ability to develop advanced technology solutions in frontier areas such as Artificial Intelligence, High-Performance Computing (HPC), and Quantum Computing (QC) – now increasingly essential to ensure growth and competitiveness for businesses – and to collaborate with the most innovative research centers nationally and internationally.

Among the successes that punctuated 2024, the one in the tender for the upgrade of the GAIA supercomputer (formerly known as Galileo 100) of the Cineca Interuniversity Consortium – a Tier-1 cloud system for public scientific research, capable of serving more than 5,000 users – and the one related to the supply to the National Institute of Astrophysics (INAF) of the ICT infrastructure for the ASTRI (Astrophysics with Italian Replicant Technology Mirrors) Mini-Array project deserve a mention, which allows remote operation of the system of nine double-mirror telescopes at the Teide Observatory in Tenerife, which enables the study of gamma photons produced by explosions in space, such as galaxy mergers, black holes, that occurred up to the distance of 10 million light-years.

“The year 2024 has been a year of great achievements and great satisfaction for us, confirming the effectiveness of our strategic choices. Winnings such as those in the tender for the Galileo 100 supercomputer or the ASTRI project fill us with pride not only because of their importance, but also because they are proof of our ability, which has grown year after year, to respond to the most demanding technological challenges. They are the sparkling tip of an iceberg made of commitment, investment and the courage to aim higher and higher,” comments Cosimo Damiano Gianfreda, CEO, E4 Computer Engineering. “All this would not have been possible without the talent, skills and dedication of the people of E4, who represent our greatest asset and to whom goes all my gratitude and appreciation for this exceptional year.”

The central role that E4 recognizes in talent and skills is confirmed by its ongoing commitment to strengthen its team with continuous graft, both of young people from the most innovative educational backgrounds and of professionals with proven experience. There were 17 new hires in 2024, mostly of figures with STEM skills, while 10 new professionals have already joined the E4 team in the current year, with additional positions open, again in STEM fields.
