Today SGI announced that Jorge Titinger, president and CEO of SGI, was named by the Hispanic IT Executive Council to the HITEC 100, a comprehensive list of the top 100 Hispanic executives who excel in their technology careers and are actively involved in HITEC’s mission of addressing diversity in information technology.

It is an honor to once again be recognized with this fantastic group of executives throughout the Americas. As Andre Arbelaez, the president of HITEC said, ‘this is not about Hispanic IT leaders, it is about IT leaders who happen to be Hispanic,'” said Jorge Titinger, president and CEO, SGI. “Together, we are building a strong foundation that will inspire the next generations to take on new challenges and become leaders within their organizations. I am hopeful that the recognition of this award brings awareness to the excellent work we are doing, and helps drive improvements in diversity and inclusion across all industries. I look forward to continuing to lead SGI with a strong culture of diversity, inclusion and excellence. I share this recognition with my whole team, and our partners and customers. I want to thank HITEC for their vision and commitment to the Hispanic community and the tech industry as a whole.”

Since 2008, HITEC has compiled this list of the top 100 most influential and notable Hispanic information technology professionals. The selection is a challenge as the number of talented and deserving Hispanic technology professionals and leaders continues to grow at a fast pace. The HITEC 100 awards recognition, mentoring and professional development activities are made possible by the involvement and sponsorships of corporate partners and volunteers.

“We are impressed by everyone honored in this year’s HITEC 100,” said Andre Arbelaez, president of HITEC and senior vice president and chief strategy officer, Softtek. “The people on this year’s HITEC 100 list repeatedly show their dedication to the purpose of HITEC, their drive to excel as a leader and their personal commitment to the Hispanic community at large. I am the one who feels honored today, honored to have such great people as partners and as friends.”
