SiCortex has a press release highlighting its new low power HPC platforms. To make the point, they’ve set up a system power by human cyclists attached to mini-generators. If nothing else, its a gift for headline puns, which as you can see I’ve taken full advantage of. Still, the’ve put the wheels in motion with a good story. I’ll stop now.The story is short on details, but quotes “billions of operations per second” – few GLOPS? – and 8 cyclists at 260W each – around 2kW total.
