PICA8 Drives High-Speed SDN AT SC15

pica8_logoToday Pica8 announced that the California Institute of Technology, Northwestern University and SURFnet will be demonstrating Pica8-powered Inventec 100G Ethernet solutions at the SC15 conference in Austin, Texas.

  • The California Institute of Technology will demonstrate high-speed scientific data transfers using SDN leveraging an Inventec D7032Q28 and Pica8’s PicOS network operating system (NOS) in booth 1248
  • Northwestern University will demonstrate 100-Gigabit connectivity using an Inventec D7032Q28 100G switch and Pica8’s NOS in booth 749;
  • SURFnet will demonstrate real-time worldwide service function chaining using an Inventec D7032Q28 100G switch and Pica8’s PicOS NOS in booth 2321;

Pica8 combines white box switches with the industry’s leading NOS to deliver turnkey SDN switching solutions for service providers and enterprises. These demonstrations indicate the popularity of Pica8’s solutions in the academic and research communities.
