The fuss appears to be minimal, but Intel has announced a new release of the Itanium line. Stories about the dual core Montvale chips are to be found in the usual press, if you look hard enough: The Register and The Inquirer. Of course neither of these sites are the biggest fans of the ‘Itanic’ as they call it, but is fair to note that Intel isn’t really singing about the release as they might once have done for new Itanium processors.
