Steve Conway from Hyperion Research

Today Hyperion Research announced that Steve Conway, Hyperion Research senior vice president of research, will now also serve as the company’s chief operating officer, according to Hyperion CEO Earl Joseph.

The promotion recognizes key responsibilities Steve has already taken on, in addition to leading our research activities, such as heavily influencing our view of the fast-evolving HPC market, playing a major role in setting the direction for our business, creating and launching new programs, and managing important areas of the business,” Joseph said.

In his head-of-research role, Conway will continue to set the company’s research agenda, work closely with clients and fellow Hyperion analysts to design and carry out studies, and ensure the quality of the firm’s research documents. He will also remain the lead analyst for Hyperion’s fast-growing business in high performance data analysis (HPDA) and AI.

Steve has been a great colleague and business partner of mine for almost 20 years and has helped us grow quickly since we separated from IDC in 2017,” said Joseph. “Our growth in recent years has allowed us to add two highly talented analysts. Bob Sorensen, our vice president of research and technology, brings more than three decades of senior-level experience in government and is leading our new practice in quantum computing, among his many responsibilities. Research Analyst Alex Norton, the newest member of our team, is already proving invaluable to us and our clients. And Jean Sorensen has helped to organize and run our operations.”

In related news, the Hyperion Research  Breakfast Briefing will take place at ISC 2018 on Tuesday, June 26 at 7:45am at the Grandhotel Hessischer Hof in Frankfurt, Germany.
