Ericsson Group CIO Joines Board of HPC Colo Provider atNorth

Stockholm – 16 June 2022 – atNorth, a Nordic data center operator based in Iceland, today announces the appointment of Mats Hultin to its board of directors.

As CIO and head of Group IT at Ericsson, Mats is responsible for Ericsson’s internal digital platforms for innovation and user experience.  He brings valuable knowledge of enterprise digitization to atNorth, further supported by ten years of experience as former CIO of SAAB.  Combined with his board experience, he will help the company as it continues to execute its strategic roadmap as the next-generation sustainable data center provider across Europe.

“Mats has extensive experience working as a CIO for some of the largest companies in the Nordics, such as Saab and Ericsson.  He has been on the buyer side of the datacenter and HPC market as a user, not only in the Nordics but across markets globally.  He understands the value of our differentiated value proposition, and we look forward to working together” said Eyjólfur Magnús Kristinsson, atNorth CEO.

“Alongside the carrier network provided by the telecom industry, the datacenter business is at the core of anything digital.  With its focus on high-performance computing and energy-efficient data center services, atNorth is spearheading the development of this field, and I am delighted to join the company in its continued growth,” commented Mats Hultin.

atNorth is a Pan-Nordic data center services company built to offer sustainable and scalable high-performance solutions across Iceland and Sweden.  The company operates three data centers, while a fourth location is under construction in the north of Iceland.
