The UK’s NeSC is hosting a high throughput computing workshop during the week 27-30 Nov., led by David Wallom (Technical Manager of the OeRC). The HTC workshop is intended to interest those who may benefit from HTC in their research or businesses and those who provide HTC for their customers. It covers the stages of recognising how to transform a task so that it can benefit from HTC, through choosing technologies that deliver HTC to providing cost effective services that are convenient to use. There are sessions that will allow debate over HTC usage strategies, sessions that compare technologies and sessions that are relevant to policy makers in industry and academia.
